ZhongYuan Marine Engineering Co., Ltd. was founded in 2013.As operator of engineering vessels,ZhongYuan has designed and built the largest multifunctional (especially for wreck removal and dredging) engineering vessel of Asia HUA LI with an investment of RMB 360 million (equivalent to USD 50 million) in 2013.ZhongYuan's Southeast Asian headquarters is located at 5A office buildings of MVS North Tower in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The main business scope ofthe company is such marine engineering services as wreck removal, emergency response for remained or spilled oil in sunken ships, harbor and channel dredging, on water heavy cargo handling.
Over years of steady growth, ZhongYuan has developed a prominent advantage in deep-water salvage and harbour dredging and is playing a leading role especially in the area of wreck underwater dismantling and removal both at home and overseas. We can deal with complicated salvage environment and the biggest shipwreck in the world. Currently, the business has extended to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Pakistan.
As for wreck salvage, ZhongYuan has a professional team offering service from oil extraction,oil containment boom arrangement, salvage, transportation to scrap process.
In the completion of the dredging and excavation project for K1-K2 of the Karachi Nuclear Power Plant Construction supported by China from the year 2016 to 2018, ZhongYuan has also received unanimous appraise from the Pakistan government.
In June 2014, HUA LI started the salvage of the Hong Kong shipwreck “Bright Century” . “Bright Century” was built in 1997, with GT 90,267 Tons, NT 56,641 Tons, DWT 178,739 Tons, length 289 m, breadth 47m and depth 24m. The project was completed within 5 months and won highly appraise from Wei Hai Maritime Safety Administration.
In March 2016, HUA LI undertook the salvage of Panama container shipwreck “SHENG DI” upon the request of the Zhuhai Maritime Safety Administration. The Panamanian container ship “ SHENG DI” was completed in 1988, with GT 46,551 Tons, NT18,601 Tons, length 253 m, breadth 32.20m and depth 19.05m.The wreck was tightly structured with very thick steel, the wreck body embedded deeply in the seabed. Undergoing 3 months operation, the shipwreck was completely removed. Accomplishing this great task assigned by the Authority, HUA LI was awarded China’s First Grab by the China Salvage and Maritime Safety Administration.
In the year 2014, ZhongYuan was solely appointed by Yantai Salvage to carry out the wreck removal work under the “Blue Sea Campaign” of Ministry of Transport of PRC.
